Polyspine is a customisable Postural Support System which has been designed to transform the accessibility of seating modalities for people living with moderate to complex physical disability. Each Polyspine is fitted to its user and provides postural support outside of their main wheelchair or assistive seating device to enable new opportunities for therapy, social engagement, travel or recreation. It is intended to help create an accessible environment for users with specific needs.

What is PolySpine®

Each Polyspine is configured to the user’s unique spinal shape by a trained Occupational Therapist, creating a personalised device with a well-fitting chest harness and lap belt. The modular back support integrates seamlessly with existing seating systems or recreational equipment, using a range of mounting brackets and attachment options. This versatility enables users to participate in a wider range of activities within an inclusive environment.

Yes. In Australia we are now an NDIS provider.

There is a spinal piece and head support that attaches to a supporting vest, so that someone is able to wear it. On the back of the spinal piece, we are able to attach various PolySpine attachments. Each attachment enables people to participate in new activities. For example, our chair attachment is designed to fit to many chairs, whilst supporting someone wearing PolySpine.

Anyone who requires additional head and torso support.

The Polyspine concept and design is the brainchild of co-founders Clint and Riley Saban.

Riley is an active young man with Cerebral Palsy (GMFCS IV), presenting with spasticity and dystonia and has been the driving force behind this project.

Their personal lived experience combined with a real understanding of the problem at hand, has led to a brand-new way of thinking and will create new life experiences for many individuals around the world.
