Job Description
As a Trade Qualified Motor Vehicle Mechanic at Gilani Engineering, you will be responsible for servicing, repairing, modifying and assembling a wide range of vehicles and specialised mobility transport solutions. Working within our engineering and manufacturing team, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality vehicle modifications that improve the independence and mobility of our customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose, service and repair passenger and commercial vehicles.
- Install and commission wheelchair hoists, accessibility equipment and vehicle modifications.
- Perform mechanical repairs, maintenance and fault diagnosis.
- Assemble and fit fabricated components to vehicles.
- Carry out suspension, braking, steering and drivetrain repairs.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation.
- Perform vehicle disassembly and reassembly for modification projects.
- Install electrical accessories and mechanical systems where required.
- Conduct quality inspections and functional testing before vehicle delivery.
- Ensure all work complies with Australian Design Rules (ADR), workshop procedures and safety standards.
- Maintain a clean, organised and safe workshop environment.
- Work collaboratively with engineers, fabricators, electricians and production staff to deliver projects on time.
Skills & Experience
- Trade qualification as a Motor Vehicle Mechanic.
- Experience servicing and repairing light commercial and passenger vehicles.
- Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills.
- Ability to use workshop equipment and diagnostic tools.
- Ability to work independently and within a team.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Current Australian Driver Licence.
Desirable Skills
- Fabrication or welding experience.
- Panel beating experience.
- Auto electrical experience.

- Forklift licence.

Job Description
We are looking to hire an experienced factory manager to supervise our factory workers and ensure that factory targets are met.
The factory manager’s responsibilities include scheduling of the jobs and equipment maintenance as needed, regularly walking the factory floor to monitor the performance of factory staff, and ensuring that all production orders are completed in a timely manner.
You should also be able to enforce compliance with health and safety regulations to prevent accidents and injuries.
To be successful as a factory manager, you should demonstrate outstanding problem-solving skills and resolve any issues that may derail production.
