Wheelchair Restraint Systems for Vehicles

Wheelchair restraint systems are designed to safely secure the wheelchair to the vehicle floor, while integrated seatbelt systems ensure the passenger is properly restrained. Both systems work together to provide safe and compliant transport.

• 4-point wheelchair tie-down systems and wheelchair anchor points
• 3-point and 4-point passenger seatbelt systems
• Wheelchair docking and anchoring systems
• Heavy-duty restraint systems for vans and buses
• Custom restraint configurations for specialised vehicles

Wheelchair Tie Downs, Anchor Points & Seat Belt Systems

Wheelchair tie down systems are designed to secure the wheelchair to the vehicle floor using dedicated anchor points and restraint straps. Combined with wheelchair occupant seat belt systems, these solutions help improve passenger safety during transport.

Many wheelchair accessible vehicles use 4-point tie down systems, wheelchair anchor points and integrated seat belt restraints to provide safe and compliant transport for wheelchair users in cars, vans, buses and community transport vehicles.

Selecting the correct wheelchair restraint system depends on the vehicle layout, wheelchair type and transport requirements.

Why Vehicle Restraint Systems Are Important

• Improved safety: Minimises movement during braking or impact
• Compliance: Meets transport safety requirements
• Passenger protection: Secures both wheelchair and occupant
• Reliable transport: Suitable for daily and commercial use
