Build around your family

Discuss a suitable new or used Carnival, then select a G24 NoRamp┬о or another appropriate access solution, wheelchair travel position and passenger layout. We will quote the actual vehicle and proposed work.

Already have a Kia Carnival? We can assess conversion-only suitability. The generation, variant, model year, condition and proposed wheelchair position all matter. No particular vehicle is promised as immediately available by this page.

Choose the passenger experience

Second row, third row or selected twin layouts

The right position is the one that works with the occupied wheelchair, other passengers, carer access and your daily trip. Seating counts vary by the actual design and cannot be inferred from the original eight-seat Carnival.

Second row

Closer to the family

Consider a second-row wheelchair position where social contact, visibility and assistance from nearby passengers are priorities. Check side clearance and restraint geometry in the final layout.

Third row

A different seating balance

A third-row position can leave a different arrangement for other travellers. Compare luggage space, wheelchair length, access path and the remaining approved seats.

Selected configurations

Two wheelchair passengers

Some G24 designs may accommodate two wheelchair positions. Both actual chairs and occupants, passenger seats, loading and restraint positions must be assessed.

Use the Kia Carnival versus Hyundai Staria seating guide to prepare for a vehicle trial.

The main conversion decision

G24 NoRamp┬о or a conventional rear ramp

Both can be engineered lowered-floor solutions. NoRamp┬о refers to how the wheelchair enters: the G24 does not require a traditional long external rear ramp to be unfolded behind the vehicle.

Engineering detail: Ask for a demonstration of the actual G24 operation and the written specification of the vehicle proposed. Photos on a sales page should never replace an in-person suitability check.

Bring your chair to the vehicle

Check more than the doorway

The wheelchair user should be measured while seated in the wheelchair. Record the occupied height from ground to the highest point, overall width and length including joystick, footplates, supports and accessories. Bring the actual wheelchair for a trial whenever practical.

Confirm the entry route, travel position, restraint compatibility, occupant belt fit, total weight, other passengers and how a carer will help. Ground and driveway conditions also affect the best access system.

Send us these details

  • Wheelchair make, model and occupied dimensions
  • Chair plus occupant weight, where known
  • Second or third-row preference
  • Number of family members or support workers travelling
  • Whether the car needs room for luggage or equipment
  • Your postcode, desired timeframe and funding pathway

Occupational therapists are welcome to attend the vehicle trial with the participant.

Frequently asked questions

Kia Carnival WAV buying FAQs

Do you have a wheelchair accessible Kia Carnival for sale now?

Stock changes. Contact Gilani Engineering for the vehicles currently offered, their prices, specifications, wheelchair positions and expected handover dates. We can also discuss sourcing and converting a suitable Carnival.

Can you convert a Carnival that I already own?

Potentially. We first assess its generation, model year, variant, condition and suitability for the proposed wheelchair position and access system.

Does the G24 Kia Carnival have a ramp?

The G24 NoRamp┬о is a lowered-floor wheelchair access conversion that does not rely on a traditional long external rear ramp. Conventional rear-ramp conversions are a separate option.

Can the wheelchair passenger sit in the second row?

Selected second-row configurations are available, subject to the wheelchair dimensions, occupants, vehicle and chosen conversion. Third-row and selected twin layouts may also be considered.

Will my power wheelchair fit?

That depends on the occupied chair's height, width, length and weight, as well as entry and restraint compatibility. Bring the actual chair to a vehicle trial where possible.

Can the Carnival carry two wheelchair passengers?

Selected configurations can be assessed for two wheelchair positions. Both wheelchair and occupant combinations, loading, seat plan and restraint systems must be checked together.

How much is a wheelchair accessible Kia Carnival?

There is no single price for all vehicles. A quote depends on the Carnival's age and condition, the conversion, approved seating, restraint equipment and optional features. Ask for a current itemised quote.

Can my occupational therapist attend?

Yes. We encourage an assessment with the wheelchair user, their actual chair and their occupational therapist where relevant.

Will the NDIS pay for the vehicle or conversion?

Eligible vehicle modifications may be funded when they meet the participant's plan and applicable criteria and are approved. The standard vehicle purchase and modification are distinct costs. We can provide technical information and a quotation for assessment.

Do you help buyers outside Sydney?

Yes, Australia-wide customers can enquire. Ask the team about the practical trial, delivery, documentation and handover arrangements for your location.
