Accessible Shower Curtain Installation – Custom Curtain & Rod Systems

Description

Accessible Shower Curtain Installation – Custom Curtain & Rod Systems

If your shower screen is limiting access or causing water to escape, a custom curtain system can provide a safer and more practical solution.

We install custom shower curtains and heavy-duty rod systems designed for accessible bathrooms, NDIS modifications, and care environments. Where needed, we also remove existing glass shower screens to improve access and usability.

We attend site to measure and plan the setup before installation (within our service area), ensuring the curtain and rod system works properly for access, movement, and water control.

• Improves access by removing fixed glass barriers when required
• Keeps water contained with a properly weighted curtain system
• Designed for daily use by users and carers
• Custom measured and fitted to suit your bathroom layout

Suitable for NDIS home modifications, aged care, and accessible bathroom upgrades.

Removal of Shower Screens & Full Setup

In many cases, existing shower screens need to be removed to improve access and create usable space. We handle the full process from removal through to installation of the new system.

• Removal of existing glass shower screens where required
• Preparation of the shower area for better access
• Installation of custom curtain and rod systems
• Setup designed around how the bathroom is used day to day

Custom Curtain and Rod System

This is a custom-built system designed to suit how the shower is actually used, not a standard off-the-shelf curtain.

• Custom curtain sizing for proper coverage
• Weighted design to help keep the curtain in position
• Heavy-duty rod systems built for daily use
• Installed to suit access, movement, and usability

Water Control and Containment

The curtain is weighted along the bottom to reduce movement and help keep water inside the shower area during use.

Where required, rubber water stoppers can also be added to further reduce water escaping and help keep the bathroom floor drier.

• Weighted curtain helps reduce water escaping
• Improves control of water inside the shower area
• Optional rubber water stoppers for added containment
• Configured based on the bathroom layout

On-Site Measurement and Installation

For local projects, we attend site to measure the bathroom and plan the setup before installation.

This ensures the system is positioned correctly and works properly in real conditions, especially where access and movement are important.

• On-site measurement within our service area
• Setup planned based on actual daily use
• Correct positioning for coverage and access
• Avoids issues from off-the-shelf solutions

Who This Is For

This solution is commonly used for:

• NDIS home modifications
• Aged care and assisted living environments
• Bathrooms where shower screens restrict access
• Carers assisting with daily routines

Supply and Installation

We supply custom curtain systems Australia-wide and provide installation within approximately a 2-hour drive of our head office.

• Installation available within our local service area
• Supply and delivery available across Australia
• Each system prepared to suit the bathroom setup

If you are outside our installation area, we can still supply a complete system with guidance on setup.

Choosing the Right Setup

If you are comparing options, the key factors are access space, water containment, and how the shower is used day to day.

Fixed glass screens can restrict movement, while a properly designed curtain system allows more flexibility without losing control of water.

Common Problems This Solves

• Water leaking outside the shower area
• Limited access caused by fixed shower screens
• Difficulty assisting someone in the shower
• Cramped or hard-to-use bathroom layouts
